Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of getmarried.ge, run by Get Married in Georgia ("we", "us"). By using the site or sending us an enquiry you agree to them. The service itself, if you book it, is governed by the written service agreement you receive with your quote. Where that agreement and these terms differ, the agreement wins.

What this website is

The site describes a service: preparing, booking and registering civil marriages in Georgia for foreign couples, and legalizing the resulting certificate for use abroad. Nothing on it is an offer you can accept by itself. A booking exists only once you have received a written quote, confirmed it, and paid the deposit it sets out.

Prices and quotes

• Package prices on the site are in US dollars and are starting prices for the situations they describe.
• Your quote is fixed and itemized. It includes the government fees and translations listed in it. Anything listed as an extra is charged only if you ask for it.
• A quote is valid for the period stated on it. Government and embassy fees are outside our control; if one changes before your booking is confirmed, we re-issue the quote before you pay.

Married or refunded

If the registry declines to register your marriage for a reason we should have caught in the document check, we refund what you paid us in full. The guarantee does not apply where documents turn out to be false, altered or different from the scans you sent, where either of you does not attend the booked ceremony, where either of you changes your mind, or where entry to Georgia is refused. The full terms are set out in your service agreement.

What we need from you

• Accurate information and genuine documents. The document check, the quote and the guarantee all depend on them.
• Both of you must be 18 or older, free to marry under Georgian law, and entering the marriage of your own free will.
• You are responsible for your travel, your visas or entry permission for Georgia, and for being at the ceremony at the booked time.

Not legal advice

We describe how Georgian civil marriage and certificate legalization work, and we confirm in writing which route applies to you. We are not a law firm, and the site does not give legal, immigration or tax advice. Whether and how a marriage certificate is accepted is decided by the authorities of the country where you present it. If your situation depends on a particular legal outcome, such as a visa, a residence permit or a change of name, check the requirement with that authority or a lawyer there.

The text, design and photographs on this site belong to us or are used under licence. You may share links to the site; you may not copy it to present a competing service. Links to other websites, such as the Georgian e-visa portal, are there for convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for them.

Liability

We keep the information on this site accurate and current, but rules and fees change, sometimes without notice, and the site is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses that arise from relying on the website alone rather than on your written quote and service agreement. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Georgia, and the courts of Tbilisi have jurisdiction over disputes about them. If you are a consumer, this does not take away protections you have under the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
